3. The leg from Echternach to Luxembourg ( ca. 45 km )

We follow the national hiking trail called “Moellerdall Pfad” from Echternach via Lauterborn, Scheidgen, Consdorf, Kobebour. We pass Graulinster, Blumendall Junglinster, Bourglinster and Freinland, where we pass below a motorway bridge and reach Dommeldange.

In Dommeldange, we go to the youth hostel. Here, every route will lead to the cathedral on the plateau in the Old Town (Ville-Haute). Here, you can attain as well to the bus terminal “Centre Hamilius” to arrive at the seventh station “Hôpital Kirchberg” by using busses with the number 13, 21, 192 and 222 (find more information at www.mobileit.lu and www.horaires.lu).

The stations of Echternach and Luxembourg alre equally connected by the bycicle lane PC2. Starting point ist the lake in Echternach, then the lane goes via Scheidgen , through the “Crand Canyon”or also called “Becher Tunnel”. The lane follows the ancient railway line “Charly” and is characterised by beauty views..
