4. The leg from Knaufspesch to Prüm ( 12 km )

From Knaufspesch we follow the No. 4 till the storage lake of Waschheid, leave the lake to the left and then walk on the No. 1 till Wascheid.  Following the signs of the Eifel hiking trail >, the water waves signs and the No. 1 we reach Gondenbrett. We go through the village with the brook on the left side till the bridge, then cross the bridge and walk till the church. After one kilometre on the K 180 we reach the L 17 to the right and follow that till the district of Tafel. Passing the St. Josef hospital and the Kalvarien mountain caldera we reach the Bertrada primary school and then pass the Karolinger Hall and the Convict House of Culture and go down to the city and the former Benedictine Abbey of Prüm.
